Jeffry M. Myers
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Myers is a founder of Pristine and has served as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pristine and the Predecessor Company since 2002. He has over 25 years of experience in all functional areas of the downstream natural gas and power business. Mr. Myers joined Union Gas in 1980, progressing through a number of operational roles, before working in natural gas pipeline and storage business development. In 1990, Mr. Myers left Union Gas to lead all Canadian development activities for Nordic Power, a startup independent power company. In 1994, Mr. Myers joined Westcoast Energy Inc. (“Westcoast Energy”) and was involved in pipeline and power project business development until 1999 when he assumed leadership of the business unit responsible for Westcoast Power, the independent power operating affiliate of Westcoast Energy. Following the acquisition of Westcoast Energy in March 2002, Mr. Myers was retained by Duke Energy to manage the sale of Westcoast Power’s remaining interests and to wind-up the organization. Mr. Myers is a director of Tonbridge Power Inc., a developer of transmission lines.
Mr. Myers holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Windsor and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
Geoffrey D. Krause
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Krause is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years of financial accounting experience. From 2006 to 2007, Mr. Krause was Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Cork Exploration Inc. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Krause was Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Calpine Canada Power Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Calpine Corporation. From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Krause was Corporations Controller with Precision Drilling Corporation (“Precision”) until the sale of Precision’s Energy Services division to Weatherford International in August 2005 and was previously employed by TransAlta Corporation in various roles from 1999 to 2004, including Manager Corporate Financial Reporting, Manager Financial Planning and Analysis – Generation, and Financial Controller of TransAlta’s Mexican operations.
Mr. Krause holds a Bachelor of Administration (with distinction) from the University of Regina.
Harvie E. Campbell
Executive Vice President, Strategy & Development
Mr. Campbell is a founder of Pristine Power Inc. and is Executive Vice President and a Director of Pristine Power Inc. Having spent over 30 years in the energy business, he has extensive experience in project development and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Campbell joined Westcoast Energy in 1984 as a financial analyst and economist, assuming successively more senior roles in planning, development and financial analysis before joining Westcoast Power in 1992. In 2001, Mr. Campbell was appointed Vice President, Business Development. He has played lead roles in the development of a number of power and international infrastructure projects including the Taylor NGL project, the Fort Nelson Transmission Project, the McMahon, Lake Superior Power, Whitby, Puncakjaya, Island Cogeneration, Frederickson, East Windsor, Savona and 150 Mile House Power Projects. Mr. Campbell is Chairman and past president of the Independent Power Producers Association of B.C.
Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Alberta and a Master of Arts in Economics from Simon Fraser University.
Ken W. Spinner
Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Spinner is a founder of Pristine and has held his current position with Pristine and the Predecessor Company since 2003, and has over 27 years experience in the development, engineering, contracting and construction of power generation and energy projects. Mr. Spinner was an employee of West Windsor Cogeneration LP from 1986 to 1997, during which time he served as Vice President of Northstar Energy Corporation. Thereafter, Mr. Spinner joined Fletcher Challenge Energy (“Fletcher”) as the Executive Director and Vice President of Island Cogeneration Project where he jointly managed the development of the Island Cogeneration Project. Mr. Spinner also founded Spinergy Service Inc., which provides power development consulting.
Mr. Spinner holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering (Honours) from Queens University at Kingston, Ontario.
Julia S. Ciccaglione
Vice President, Sustainable Development and Environment
Ms. Ciccaglione is a founder of Pristine and has served as Vice President, Sustainable Development and Environment of Pristine and the Predecessor Company since 2003, and has over 14 years experience in the environmental field. Ms. Ciccaglione brings extensive experience in environmental impact assessments, permitting and stakeholder consultation. Ms. Ciccaglione’s work has focused on environmental approvals for large and small scale electricity generation projects and climate change policies in Canada, participating in both Canadian provincial and federal climate change and emission reduction policy discussions and initiatives. Ms. Ciccaglione has also been involved with environmental work on international development projects, including assessing the effectiveness of environmental initiatives in Egypt and Zimbabwe. Currently, Ms. Ciccaglione serves as an Advisor to the Centre for Energy and was past Chair of the Energy Recovery Generation subgroup for the Clean Air Strategic Alliance in Alberta. Prior to joining Pristine, Ms. Ciccaglione founded Terradigm Inc., an environmental consulting company.
Ms. Ciccaglione holds a Master of Science in Geography (Soil Science), a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography, all from the University of Calgary.Suzanne P. Morrison
Vice President, Corporate and Commercial
Suzanne Morrison, currently Vice President, Corporate and Commercial, joined Pristine Power as Manager, Investment Services in 2005, and has over 13 years of business development experience in the natural gas and power industries.
In 1995, Ms. Morrison was employed at Engage Energy, the natural gas marketing subsidiary of Westcoast Energy, in the field of economic evaluations. She then moved to Westcoast Energy's International and Power subsidiaries where she was responsible for supporting business development initiatives in North and South America. Thereafter, Ms. Morrison joined Westcoast's Pipeline and Field Services group, progressing though various roles to become Project Manager, Business Development. In 2003, she left Westcoast Energy to join the Investor Relations group at AltaGas Services.
Ms. Morrison holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Summa Cum Laude) from St. Mary's University and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.
Jim Fitzowich
Vice President, Asset Management
Mr. Fitzowich is an electrical engineering graduate with over 20 years of experience in engineering,
development, operations and acquisitions with major Canadian power companies. Mr. Fitzowich is
responsible for the management and optimization of the ongoing operations of Pristine’s generating assets with
an initial focus on the transition to operations of the Company’s Enpower ERG® and East Windsor Cogeneration
projects.
José Menéndez
Vice President, Business Development, East
Mr. Menéndez is a mechanical engineering graduate with over 18 years of experience in the electricity
generation business, including extensive project execution experience and green energy technology
development. He is responsible for the Company’s continued business development activities in central
and eastern Canada and will manage the development of the gas‐fired generation project to be proposed by
Pristine in response to the Ontario Power Authority’s Northern York Region Request for Proposals. An affiliate
of Pristine is one of five bidders pre‐qualified in this process.
Toby Austin
Vice President and General Counsel
Mr. Austin serves as Vice President and General Counsel and joined Pristine in 2009. He has over 23 years experience as a transactional lawyer and executive in the electricity, oil and gas and banking industries. Most recently he was President and Restructuring Officer of Calpine Canada, leading it through its successful $5bn restructuring efforts from 2005 to 2008. He was also President of Calpine Canada Power Income Fund from 2004 until the sale of the Fund to private equity investors in 2007. Mr. Austin joined Calpine in 2002 as Managing Counsel responsible for legal affairs for Calpine’s Canadian operations and has previously served as legal counsel with TransAlta Energy Corporation in Calgary, Syncrude Canada in Fort McMurray and Standard Chartered Bank in the United Kingdom. He started his career with MacLeod Dixon as a securities lawyer in Calgary in 1986.
Mr. Austin holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calgary and a Masters of Law from the University of Cambridge, England.
